These terms govern written work requested from File Lighthouse, including product measurement audits, event naming workshops, and retention readouts. By sending an intake note or paying a deposit you accept them.
Parties and nature of work
File Lighthouse provides professional review and facilitation services. We do not sell software, host event collectors, or take payment for access to a product. Deliverables are written packs, glossaries, briefings, and annotated charts you already produce.
Acceptance
A quote is an invitation to contract. The contract starts when you confirm in writing and pay the deposit stated on the quote. Changes of journey, environment, or file protocol after that point may require a revised quote.
Client duties
You must have authority to open the app environments and to share the sample files you send. You are responsible for redacting personal data unless a separate processing agreement is signed. You must not request covert access, scraping, or copies of production databases.
Intellectual property
You keep your event lists, extracts, and app materials. File Lighthouse keeps its methods, interview guides, and generic writing. The final pack for your journey is licensed to you for internal use, including sharing with advisers and supervisors. You may not resell the pack or present it as a certification of your product.
Confidentiality
Both parties keep non-public information confidential, including product names if you ask us to omit them from later marketing. We do not use your extracts to train a public model or to brief another client.
Liability
Reviews rest on samples, interviews, and the environments you open. They are not audits of financial statements and not legal advice. Our liability for a paid engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement, except where Malaysian law does not allow a limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Courts of Sabah have exclusive jurisdiction, except that File Lighthouse may seek injunctive relief elsewhere to protect confidential material.
