Who this is for
Product owners, heads of operations, and risk partners at Malaysian e-wallets, lending apps, remittance services, and insurance purchase flows who already collect events but cannot defend those counts in a steering meeting.
The result you take away
A measurement review in plain language: which events fire, when they fire relative to the issuer or switch, where people are double-counted, and which charts should be retired until the recording is honest. You receive a written pack, a marked event list, and a short briefing.
Scope
One named journey. Typical choices are first-time onboarding with e-KYC, DuitNow or card top-up, outbound transfer, loan origination through first disbursement, or BNPL checkout through first repayment.
Included
- Interviews with product, operations, and (where permitted) a contact-centre lead
- A walk of the live or staging app against the event list
- Comparison of a sample of events with a settlement or case file extract you supply
- A written findings pack and a 90-minute briefing
Excluded
- Building or hosting an analytics product
- Rewriting your event collector or hiring a vendor
- Personal data processing beyond the sample files you choose to share
- Formal legal advice on Bank Negara Malaysia or PDPA questions (we flag gaps; counsel remains yours)
Who does the work
Aida Rahman leads the audit from the Kota Kinabalu desk, with Wei Liang Tan on payment and settlement matching when the journey crosses a switch.
Process
- Intake note and conflict check
- Access and sample-file protocol
- Journey walk and interviews (usually two working days on site or by video)
- Matching pass against settlement or case files
- Draft pack for factual correction
- Final pack and briefing
Duration and place
Three to five weeks depending on how quickly sample files arrive. Work is based at Level 10 in Kota Kinabalu; product teams elsewhere in Malaysia join by video for the walkthroughs.
Preparation
Name the journey, name the environments we may open, and appoint one person who can explain both the app screens and the operations queue. Strip personal identifiers from sample files before they leave your building unless a separate processing agreement is already in place.
Constraints
We will not accept an audit that requires covert access, scraping, or a copy of production databases. If your licence conditions forbid sharing even redacted extracts, we can still walk screens and interview staff — the pack will state that settlement matching was not possible.
Price
Quoted after the intake note. Most single-journey audits in the last year sat between RM 28,000 and RM 46,000, excluding travel outside Sabah.
Next step
Write to the desk with the journey name and the meeting date you need the pack for.
