This notice explains how File Lighthouse handles personal data when you use filelighthouse.click, send an enquiry, or enter an engagement. The practice is the data controller for that information.
What we collect
From the contact form or email: name, email address, optional product type, optional review of interest, and the message you write. If we later contract, we may also hold job titles, meeting notes, and the business contact details of people you invite to interviews.
We do not ask for MyKad numbers, card numbers, or account numbers through this website. Sample files for an audit should be redacted before they reach us unless a processing agreement says otherwise.
Why we hold it
To reply to enquiries, to perform a contracted review or workshop, to invoice, and to keep records required for tax and dispute handling. Legal bases under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 include performance of a contract and legitimate interests in running a professional practice.
Retention
Enquiry messages that do not become work are kept for 18 months, then deleted. Contracts, invoices, and final packs are kept for seven years. Interview notes are kept for two years after the pack is delivered unless you ask for earlier deletion and law allows it.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or (where the Act allows) withdrawal of consent. Write to hello@filelighthouse.click. We will respond within a reasonable time. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.
International transfers
The website may be hosted on servers outside Malaysia. If that happens, we take steps appropriate to the destination so that enquiry data is not left unprotected. Engagement files are stored according to the processing agreement for that job.
Processors
We use a web host to serve this static site and email to receive messages. We do not sell lists of contacts.
This site
The contact form posts to a static mock endpoint for demonstration of success and error states. Treat anything you type here as a test unless we have confirmed a live intake channel in writing.
